What is AI Recipe Generator?
The AI recipe generator suggests recipes based on your personal settings, including dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferred cuisine. Simply enter the ingredients you have, and the app will generate a list of recipes that you can make. You can even order any additional ingredients you need online and create a list of meal plans.

Potential Targets
Initially, I sought to identify potential users for this app. To do so, I asked those around me if they would use an app like this. After identifying those who answered yes, I narrowed down the potential targets.
- Busy working parents in their 30s and 40s who want to save time and reduce food waste by planning meals around the ingredients they already have.
- College students in their late teens and early 20s living on a tight budget who want to use up the ingredients they have on hand to avoid wasting money on unnecessary groceries.
- Health-conscious individuals in their 20s and 30s who want to plan meals around the fresh produce they have in their fridge to ensure they are getting proper nutrition.
- Beginner cooks in their 20s and 30s who need ideas for meals based on the ingredients they have and want to improve their cooking skills.
- Environmentally conscious individuals in their 20s to 40s who want to reduce their carbon footprint by using up ingredients before they go bad and reduce food waste in their household.
Quantitative Research
Quantitative research will involve collecting data on user behavior and app usage. This will be done through user surveys and app analytics. The surveys will be designed to gather information about user demographics, usage patterns, and satisfaction with the app. App analytics will provide data on how users interact with the app, which features are most popular, and where users may be encountering issues. The data collected from these surveys and app analytics will be used to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize the user experience.

Qualitative Research
Qualitative research will involve conducting in-depth interviews with individuals who are likely to use the AI recipe generator app. The interviews will aim to gather information about the users’ needs, expectations, and experiences with meal planning and using up ingredients. The interviews will be conducted in-person or over video conferencing to allow for a more personal interaction with the participants. The information gathered from these interviews will help to create user personas and identify the main issues that users may encounter when using the app.

Many people struggle to come up with new meal ideas and end up wasting food because they don’t know how to use the ingredients they have on hand.
